Der Song war eigentlich eine eher zufällige Entdeckung. Es war damals in der Zeit in der ich für mich unter anderem auch The Calling und Lifehouseentdeckte. Ich glaube es war sogar eine related Artist verlinkung in Amazon, die mich auf ihn brachte.
So viel zur Historie. Ich finde dieser Song strahlt eine ganz eigene Atmospähre aus. How come your arms are not around me glänzt durch eine minimalistische Instrumentierung und eine ungemeine Tiefe. Er beginnt nur mit Klavier und der zerbrechlichen Stimme von Kristofer. Sobald der Chorus einsetzt fühlt man sich als könne man förmlich abheben.
