Die neue Dream Theater Scheibe A DRAMATIC TURN OF EVENTS ist nun schon einige Zeit in den Läden zu haben. Die Einen lieben sie, die Anderen hassen sie. Mir persönlich gefällt sie recht gut. Einer meiner persönlichen Highlights ist “This Is The Life”. Toller Song mit epischen Finale.

Als im September 2010 die Nachricht kam, dass Mike Portnoy Dream Theater verläßt, war das für alle Fans ein ziemlicher Schock – man hätte sich einige Besetzungswechsel zumindest theoretisch vorstellen können, aber daß ausgerechnet das „Gesicht“ der Band hinwirft? Hätte ich nie gedacht.
Solche Dinge laufen natürlich immer etwas unschön ab, und auch DT machen da leider keine Ausnahme. Als Fan sowohl der Band als auch von Mike Portnoy fällt es da mitunter schwer, nicht einseitig zu werden.
